Solent Sea State

At Solent Forts the safety of our guests is paramount in all we do. Due to the unique location of our Forts, the ‘sea state’ (wind waves, tides and swell) can affect the times we are able to travel, as well as the type of boat used to get all guests to their chosen venue safely.

Although rare, it may be necessary to postpone or cancel certain events if safe transit is not possible. Due to the varying tides and currents affecting different parts of the Solent, transfers may even be possible to one Fort and not another. This means that some events may need to be cancelled while others are able to go ahead.

We will however, always do our utmost to ensure that all events run as planned.
