Join us aboard Spitbank Fort on Wednesday 5th June for a D-Day dining experience like no other. Steeped in history along with fine dining and the best views across the Solent, this is the place to be if you’re looking to commemorate the 75th D-Day landings celebrations in style.

Your four course dinner, expertly prepared by our chefs will be served in the Fort’s “Officers Mess”; a room full of character and the perfect setting to sit back and relax whilst you are waited on by our Fort crew and entertainment provided by Amy Baker with 1940s classics. Our D-Day dining experience menu has been specially prepared by our Executive Chef to celebrate the best of British in recognition of 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

Your experience starts at the Port Office where you check-in. Then its a boat transfer to the Fort, which is included as part of your package. The boat departs Gunwharf Quays at 3.30pm and returns to Gunwharf Quays at approximately 11.15pm. Travel time between Gunwharf Quays and Spitbank Fort is approximately 30 minutes.

Before sitting down to eat, you will have the opportunity to explore our incredible Fort; be amazed by the sheer breadth and scale of each room and the varied history the Fort has to offer. If you have never visited the Fort, our D-Day evening dining experience is the perfect occasion to make that long awaited visit.

With a Fire Pit on the top deck, hot chocolate and marshmallows are served from 10pm.

We are expecting to see MV Boudicca and her historic flotilla go past the Fort as she leaves Portsmouth on her latest voyage to Normandy with her special guests onboard: our wartime veterans.

If you looking for an alternative way to commemorate the D-Day landings, why not take a look at our Forget Me Not Fort Experience offer. From £125 per person.

The forthcoming D-Day 75th national commemorative event has attracted interest from all over the world.
