Join us aboard Spitbank Fort on Saturday 8th June for a D-Day dining spectacular like no other. With fine dining and the best views on the Solent, this is the place to be if you’re looking to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings in style.

Your four course dinner, expertly prepared by our chefs will be served in the Fort’s “Officers Mess”; a room full of character and the perfect setting to sit back and relax whilst you are waited on by our Fort crew and listen to our selection of 1940s music classics.

Our D-Day dining menu has been specially prepared by our Executive Chef to celebrate the best of British in recognition of the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

Your experience starts at the Port Office where you check-in. Then it’s a boat transfer to the Fort, which is included as part of the package. The boat departs Gunwharf Quays at 5.30pm and returns to Gunwharf Quays at approximately 11.15pm. Travel time between Gunwharf Quays and Spitbank Fort is approximately 30 minutes.

Before sitting down to eat, you will have the opportunity to explore our incredible Fort; be amazed by its sheer breadth and scale, and the varied history the Fort has to offer. If you have never visited the Fort, our D-Day evening dining spectacular is the perfect occasion to make that long awaited visit.

With a Fire Pit on the top deck, hot chocolate and marshmallows are served from 10pm and in time to watch the fireworks from Southsea Common.

If you’re looking for an alternative way to commemorate the D-Day landings, why not consider our D-Day ‘forget me not’ Fort Experience or D-Day Dining Experience both taking place on the 5th June.

*All tables are shared tables unless otherwise requested. Dining on board the forts is a social experience we encourage you to enjoy. We do have a very limited number of tables for couples or smaller groups which are available on a first come first served basis.
