SOLENT FORTS 24 HOUR FORT ADVENTURE ITINERARY

From the moment you check in you’ll start to appreciate the uniqueness of what awaits. Leave your bags and head down to the pontoon for your boat transfer over to Spitbank Fort- one of the very few venues that require a boat to get to!

When the fort appears on the horizon, the eye-catching structure provides a wonderful photo opportunity and you’ll start to feel the excitement build. When we dock, you’ll be welcomed aboard by our crew and ushered to the Victory Bar for a welcome glass of Champagne as you make yourself at home.

Next you’ll be given a fully guided tour of this unique and fascinating fortress. From the dark and moody wine cave, to the tip of the lighthouse, you’ll learn how and why the fort was built, and what each area of the building was used for in times gone by. The fort has been lovingly restored and is full of genuine historic artefacts. Undeniably British, there is an inherent sense of patriotism throughout.

Once fully briefed it’s down to the Officer’s Mess for a buffet lunch where you can relax and soak up your spectacular surroundings and stunning views. You’re free to enjoy the fort facilities after lunch, including our roof top hot tubs offering fantastic views out over the Solent. Enjoy tea and cake in the afternoon to tie you over until your four course dinner in the Officers Mess. End the evening with a fire pit experience, toast marshmallows and enjoy a hot chocolate under the stars, before retiring to bed for the evening.

On departure day, you’ll be treated to a full fort breakfast and time to take one last picture (to delay leaving!) before being transported back to dry land.
